JOB DESCRIPTION:
Prestige Stone & Tile is seeking a template measure technician for duties related to measuring and templating projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in CAD/Templating with laser equipment.
PURPOSE:
The template measure technician is responsible for:
- Measure using laser equipment for and assemble templates that would serve as exact dimensions for the stone/granite/marble applications, in conjunctions with the job specifications.
- Complete work orders by making notations for all required measurements, polished edges, cutouts plus radiuses in the tops and any other necessary specification desired by the customer for the job.
- Communicate any relevant information about the job to the salesperson, operations staff or production staff on a timely basis.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Arriving at scheduled appointments at customer locations within agreed-upon and scheduled window of time.
- Confirm any missing information (such as missing faucets specs, missing cooktop specs, etc.) regarding the job with onsite customer or job super.
- Provide critical information to the customer concerning the templating and installation process.
- Complete all necessary paperwork and photos to hand-off to office staff within 24 hours
from the time of templating.
MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have experience in reading blue prints/schematics, etc.
- Must have strong customer service skills.
- May need to work occasional overtime.
- Able to complete a satisfactory background check.
- Must hold valid South Carolina driver’s license.
- Must be able to accurately read and interpret installation drawings.
- Excellent attention to detail is a must.
- Excellent organizational skills and be task driven
- A strong work ethic, be honest, punctual and a positive team player

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in CAD/Templating.
- Some knowledge of AutoCad.
- Some stone countertop knowledge.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Microsoft Office suite competency (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with 20/20 is a plus.
WORKING CONDITIONS (TRAVEL, HOURS, and ENVIRONMENT):
- Travel will be required by car.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to noisy.
PHYSICAL/SENSORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Medium Work – Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
